Documents required for new the GST registration number

The list of the documents that are required for each of the form of business is however different. The purpose of this article is to make the reader aware of the  documents that are  required for GST registration for each of the form of business.

  1. Documents that are  required for a Sole proprietorship / Individual
Individual documents
  • PAN card and the ID proof of the individual.
  • Copy of a  Cancelled cheque or a bank statement.
  • Declaration in order  to comply with the provisions
Registered Office documents
  • Copy of an  electricity bill/landline bill, water Bill
  • Rent agreement (in case the  premises are rented)
  • NOC OF THE OWNER

2. Documents that are  required for a  Private Limited Company (Pvt Ltd)/Public Company (limited company)/One person company (OPC):
Company documents
  • The PAN card of the company
  • The Registration Certificate of the company
  • The Memorandum of Association (MOA) /Articles of Association (AOA)
  • Copy of the  Bank Statement
  • Copy of the Board resolution
Director related documents
  • A PAN and ID proof of the  directors
Registered Office documents
  • Copy of the electricity bill/landline bill, water Bill
  • The Rent agreement (in case premises are rented)

3. Documents required for the  Normal Partnerships
Partnership documents
  • The PAN card of the Partnership
  • The Partnership Deed
  • Copy of the  Bank Statement
Partner related documents
  • A PAN and ID proof of the designated partners
Registered Office documents
  • Copy of an electricity bill/landline bill, water Bill
  • The Rent agreement (in case premises are rented)

Along with the above mentioned documents , the common documents that are almost required for new GST Registration NUmber are :

1.Photographs (wherever it is  specified in the Application Form)
  1. In a Proprietary Concern – The Proprietor
  2. In a Partnership Firm / LLP – Managing/Authorized/Designated Partners
  3. In HUF – Karta
  4. In Company – Managing Director or the Authorised Person

2. The Constitution of the Taxpayer depending upon the kind of business are :
  1. A Partnership Deed in case of a Partnership Firm,
  2. A Registration Certificate/Proof of the Constitution in case of Society, Trust, Club, Government Department, Association of Person or the  Body of Individual, Local Authority, Statutory Body and Others etc.

3. Proof of the  Principal/Additional Place of Business:
IF ANY

4. A Bank account related proof
a. The scanned copy of the  first page of the  bank passbook/one page of the bank statement
b. opening page of the  bank passbook which is  held in name of the proprietor or a  business concern containing-:
  • An Account number
  • The Name of the account holder
  • MICR and IFSC and the  branch details
