What Are The Documents Required For The FSSAI License?

It came into existence through the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 which was a great consolidating statute related to food safety and regulation in India. It is responsible for protecting and promoting public health through the rules and regulation and supervision of food safety.

FSSAI has been located in five regions in India that are

1) Northern Region
2) Eastern Region 
3) North Eastern Region
4) Western Region 
5) Southern Region

There are more than 20 documents that are to be attached to the FSSAI License. Documents that are to be attached to the license are mentioned below:

1. Form B has to be filled completely and signed by the proprietor or the partners or by the authorised signatory
2. Blueprint or the Layout of the Processing units including the dimensions in meter or in square meter and the allocation of the space in the unit.
3. Complete List of the Directors/partners/Proprietor/Executive members of society/Trust with their full address and complete contact details
4. Name and the list of Equipment and Machinery along with the number, installed capacity and horsepower used 
5. Photo ID and address proof issued by government authority of proprietor/Partner/Director/Authorised Signatory
6. List of food category desired to be manufactured.
7. Authority letter with name and address of a person and an alternative person nominated by the manufacturer who is responsible for and indicating the power vested with them in inspection, collection of samples, Packing and dispatch.
8. Analysis Report of the ingredient used by any recognised/ public health laboratory to confirm the portability.
9. Proof of the premises and the proof of the possession to the premises.
10. Agreement or the partnership deed or sole proprietor should give a disclaimer that may contain Memorandum of association or article of association or Authorisation from business activity.
11. Copy of the certificate obtained whichever is applicable.
12. NOC and copy of license from the manufacturer for the sellers and packers or similar.
13. Certificate from food safety management plan.
14. NOCs from municipality or the local bodies.
15. Ministry of commerce certificate 
16. Proof for the Organisation's turnover 
17. NOC documents issued by the FSSAI 
18. Certificate provided by the related ministry
19. Declaration form
